William Shatner Has Great Response To STAR TREK Fans Complaining About STAR WARS Day

I hope everyone is having a fun Star Wars Day! It’s May 4th, and it’s a day when fans of the franchise have fun celebrating all things Star Wars. But apparently some hardcore Star Trek fans are feeling left out and complaining about Star Wars Day and wondering why there’s no Star Trek Day.

Well, Star Trek ambassador William Shatner had a perfect response to one fan questioning why there’s no Star Trek Day, saying: "Star Trek is celebrated 364 days of the year. Give them their day."

You gotta love Shatner. As for why Star Wars Day exists in the first place, it was a thing that George Lucas created informally, and the whole "May the 4th be with you" thing actually started as a joke! But, the fandom latched on to it and helped it grow in popularity.

Now Lucasfilm and Disney have fully embraced it and use the occasion for big marketing and merchandising efforts.
