Trailer For Season 2 of AMC's Neo-Western DARK WINDS Executive Produced By George R.R. Martin
AMC has released the first trailer for the second season of its acclaimed neo-western crime series Dark Winds. The first season of this series was fantastic and this upcoming season looks like it’s gonna be great!
The series is set in 1971 on a remote outpost of the Navajo Nation near Monument Valley, and the story follows Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon) of the Tribal Police as he is besieged by a series of seemingly unrelated crimes. The closer he digs to the truth, the more he exposes the wounds of his past.
In Season 2, Lt. Joe Leaphorn, reunites with Jim Chee (Kiowa Gordon), his former deputy turned private eye, “when their separate cases bring them together in pursuit of the same suspect. They find themselves in the high desert of Navajo Country chasing a killer who's turned his sights on them to protect a secret that rips open old wounds and challenges Leaphorn's moral and professional code. With the help of Sgt. Manuelito (Matten) and Valencia County Sheriff Gordo Sena (Longmire's A Martinez), Leaphorn and Chee must thwart their would-be assassin and restore balance not only to their own lives, but to the reservation that depends on them."
The series was created by Graham Roland and he executive produces alongside George R.R. Martin (Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon), Robert Redford, Annie Hillerman, Chris Eyre, Vince Calandra, Vince Gerardis, and Tina Elmo.
The rest of the cast includes Jessica Matten, Deanna Allison, Rainn Wilson, Elva Guerra, Jeremiah Bitsui, Eugene Brave Rock, and Noah Emmerich.
Dark Winds is based on the Leaphorn & Chee book series by Tony Hillerman, and Season 2 premieres on Thursday, July 27th, on AMC+, and Sunday, July 30th, on AMC.
