Trailer for David O. Russell's ACCIDENTAL LOVE with Jake Gyllenhaal

A trailer for David O'Russell's wacky political comedy Accidental Love has been released. The movie was previously titled Nailed and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Jessica Biel, and James Marsden.

There's a lot of drama surrounding this film production, which was mostly shot back in 2008 before production was shut down due to money issues. There was still one key scene that had to be shot when that happened, and investors tried to get the film back into production for two years before Russell walked away from it in 2010. The director has since removed his name from the project, and it was replaced with the pseudonym Stephen Greene. "Greene" said this about the project in a previous interview:

“The circumstances under which the film would now be completed are much different on several fundamental levels than when we embarked several years ago. I, unfortunately, am no longer involved in the project and cannot call it ‘my’ film.”

Russell is a great filmmaker who has brought us movies such as The Fighter, Silver Linings Playbook, and American Hustle. It's a shame that something like this had to happen to one of his projects, but Millennium Entertainment is obviously trying to salvage what they can from it. The movie actually looks like it could be entertaining. It's got a very quirky vibe. Here's the synopsis:

Formerly known as Nailed (David O. Russell), Accidental Love tells the story of a small town waitress (Biel), who accidentally gets a nail lodged in her head as her boyfriend (Marsden) attempts his marriage proposal. Her predicament leads her on a journey to Washington DC, where she meets a dashing but clueless congressman (Gyllenhaal), who might be able to help her unusual case.
Will their blossoming romance survive the cut-throat politics of the Capital? With an all-star cast that also includes Catherine Keener, Tracy Morgan, James Brolin and Paul Reubens,Accidental Love is the funny story of what happens when sparks fly and love interferes with what you stand for.

The movie will be released on February 10th, 2015. Does this look like a movie you'd watch?
