THE ROOM's Tommy Wiseau Releases New Trailer for His Next Film BIG SHARK

Tommy Wiseau, the director and star of the 2003 cult film The Room, is back with a new film titled Big Shark, and the first trailer has been released!

Big Shark is the first film that Wiseau has made since The Room, and it looks as ridiculous and bad as you expected it would be. The movie follows three firefighters named George, Patrick, and Tim, who must save New Orleans from a giant killer shark.

Wiseau wrote, directed, and stars in the movie alongside Isaiah LaBorde and Mark Valeriano. The filmmaker will be taking the movie on a roadshow theatrical rollout, and those “Pre Premier” screenings will continue over the course of eight months with a release of the “Official Final Cut Version” of Big Shark to follow.

Big Shark will kick off its tour on April 2nd with a debut screening at Cinema 21 in Portland, Oregon. The following screenings will rollout in the following months, with a tentative schedule of engagements hosted by Prytania Theatres at Canal Place in New Orleans (April 28 and 29), the Balboa Theatre in San Francisco, Calif. (May 5 and 6), the Landmark Westwood in Los Angeles (June 2 and 3) and the Village East by Angelika in New York City (August 10, 11 and 12).

Wiseau will appear in person for this first series of screenings. Over the years since the release of The Room, the filmmaker has collaborated on several projects. He helmed a short documentary titled Homeless in America, which was released in 2004. He appeared on an episode of Tim and Eric Awesome Show, and in 2015, he created, wrote, and directed a six-episode Hulu series titled The Neighbors. He also starred in dual roles as the series’ primary protagonist and antagonist.

Then in 2017, he starred alongside his The Room co-star Sestero in a two-part thriller titled Best F(r)iends, which was written by Sestero.

Now, check out the trailer for Big Shark and let us know if you’re excited to watch Wiseau’s latest masterpiece.
