The Final Season of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY is Described as an INDIANA JONES-Style Adventure

Star Trek: Discovery is coming to an end with the upcoming fifth season of the series and it sounds like it’s going to take fans and audiences on a grand and exciting adventure that will lead to a supersized finale.

During an interview with SFX magazine, showrunner Michelle Paradise talks about what to expect from this final chapter of the story, and when talking about the last episode, she said: "It's definitely a longer episode, for sure.”

She went on to tease what we can expect from the final season and the exciting adventure that’s in store. In fact, she describes it as being an Indiana Jones-style adventure!

"I will say that season five has been one of the most fun in terms of having this incredible technology at our disposal, the storytelling itself, the adventure of it all. I don't want to say too much about the season, because I don't want to give any spoilers away, but we do know that our heroes are going on a quest.

"We talked about it internally as being an Indiana Jones-style sort of adventure, and just that by its very nature is a heck of a lot of fun.”

I like the sound of that! I just hope that they end this series on a high strong note.

The final chapter will find “Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery uncovering a mystery that will send them on an epic adventure across the galaxy to find an ancient power whose very existence has been deliberately hidden for centuries. But there are others on the hunt as well…dangerous foes who are desperate to claim the prize for themselves and will stop at nothing to get it.”

The Season 5 cast includes Sonequa Martin-Green (Captain Michael Burnham), Doug Jones (Saru), Anthony Rapp (Paul Stamets), Mary Wiseman (Sylvia Tilly), Wilson Cruz (Dr. Hugh Culber), David Ajala (Cleveland “Book” Booker), Blu del Barrio (Adira) and Callum Keith Rennie (Rayner). Season five also features recurring guest stars Elias Toufexis (L’ak) and Eve Harlow (Moll).

The series is produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. Alex Kurtzman, Michelle Paradise, Heather Kadin, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Sonequa Martin-Green, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers. Alex Kurtzman and Michelle Paradise serve as co-showrunners.

Season 5 will premiere on April 4th, 2024 and will kick off with the first two episodes of the 10-episode season. New episodes will drop weekly following the premiere.
