This weekend at SDCC 2023, Kevin Eastman personally announced that the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series has been purchased by Nickelodeon. That means that later this month the series will be released on Paramount+ and also on the Nickelodeon tv channels.

When Eastman was introduced to join the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem panel, the first thing he said was that he just found out that not only was the original series bought but it will hit our screens later this month. All 193 episodes of the 1987 series!

TMNT is one of my favorite franchises. I have been lucky enough to enjoy every iteration that has been given to us so far. We were shown 20 minutes of Mutant Mayhem and it looks like so much fun. However, the original is still my favorite.

The show is set in New York City, and it follows the adventures of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and their allies as they battle Shredder, Krang, and numerous other crazy villains and criminals.
