STAR WARS JEDI: FALLEN ORDER Actor Cameron Monaghan Joins TRON: ARES

Cameron Monaghan is set to join Jared Leto in Disney’s upcoming Tron: Ares, the third film in the Tron Franchise. Monaghan is best known for his role of Cal Kestis in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and its sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. He’s also starred in shows such as Shameless and Gotham.

There’s no information on who the actor will be playing in the movie but he’s a talented actor and I’m sure that he’ll be great in whatever role he’ll be taking on.

The movie is being directed by Joachim Rønning (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Kon Tiki), and the film also stars Evan Peters and Jodie Turner-Smith.

All we know about the story right now is that it’s going to focus on the emergence of a sentient program that somehow crosses over into the human world. Leto will take on the role of Ares, which is the manifestation of the Tron program. Leto is said to be playing a video game programmer and tech CEO in what is described as the leading role.

Tron creator Steven Lisberger is also involved with the development of the film as a consultant, and he said: "The Tron team is hard at work. They are always hard at work. It's going to happen. My goal with these things in playing the Obi-Wan role is to say the one sentence that has an impact. I try to say something that is useful to them without getting into the weeds."

Are you excited about this third Tron movie? I just really hope that it’s good!
