Luke Hemsworth Wants To Play Wolverine in The MCU

Luke Hemsworth (Westworld) would like to join his brother Chris Hemsworth in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and there’s a specific character that he’d like to play… Wolverine.

One day Marvel Studios will bring a new version of Wolverine to the big screen with a different actor playing the character. We have no idea who Marvel is looking at for the role but lots of actors like Hemsworth would love the opportunity to play him.

During an interview with ScreenRant, Luke Hemsworth shared his desire to play Wolverine in the MCU, saying:

"I would love to. I grew up with them. I learned to draw through comic books, copying comic books since I was about 10 years old. Spawn was a big one for me; I really loved Todd McFarlane's Spawn. And then Batman - I would have fought Rob Pattinson for those gauntlets. And Wolverine! I'm like, ‘Come on, just pass them on, mate. Let's give it to another Aussie.’ I'll have to grow some chest hair, but I'm ready for Wolverine."

While I loved Jackman in the role of Wolverine, when Marvel decides to introduce a new version of the character, I hope that they stay closer to the comic book version of the character. Remember, in the comics, Wolverine was only 5’ 3”. He was a short character, but insanely badass! That’s why I liked him! I’m a fairly short guy and Wolverine was one of that characters that I loved growing up because he was a short dude that could rip people apart!

I would love to see Marvel go that route with Wolverine and cast a short burly actor to play him. But we’ll see. While Luke Hemsworth is the shortest of the Hemsworth brothers at 5’ 11”, he’s still too tall for the character. But, who knows what Marvel wants to do with the character when they eventually introduce him into the MCU.

What do you think about the thought of Luke Hemsworth as Wolverine? What would you like to see Marvel do with the character? Would you like to see a more comic book accurate version of him? Or would you like to see more of what they did with Jackman?
