Kevin Conroy's Final Batman Role Isn't SUICIDE SQUAD: KILL THE JUSTICE LEAGUE; There's Two Other Projects Coming

We thought that Kevin Conroy’s final Batman role would be in Rocksteady’s new DC video game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, but it turns out, that’s not the case. Conroy did one other project before his passed away in 2022.

According to IGN, Conroy also provided the voice of the Batman: The Animated Series iteration of the DC hero in the third part of the upcoming animated movie Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths, which will be released later in 2024. He was also involved with Bruce Timm's highly-anticipated Batman: Caped Crusader animated series which is set to stream on Prime Video.

In Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths “Death is coming. Worse than death: oblivion. Not just for our Earth, but for everyone, everywhere, in every universe! Against this ultimate destruction, the mysterious Monitor has gathered the greatest team of Super Heroes ever assembled. But what can the combined might of Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern and hundreds of Super Heroes from multiple Earths even do to save all of reality from an unstoppable antimatter Armageddon?!”

As for Batman: Caped Crusader, it will capture what Timm was originally looking to do with the original animated series. Timm said: "It kind of goes back to the original principles of the show that we originally came up with in the early '90s. There were certain limitations on what we could do in terms of adult content; in terms of violence and adult themes." He went on to say, "My idea is basically to say, 'OK, it's 1990 again, I get to do what I want to do this time, and I got JJ and Matt backing me up."

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has caused a bit of controversy among fans as leaked story details caused an uproar online when it was revealed that Task Force X would be murdering a bunch of iconic DC heroes including Batman, which they didn’t find respectful in the case of Conroy’s involvement.

But, we’ve got two more projects coming that will allow us to continue to enjoy Conroy’s work as Batman.
