Here Are the Highlights from Bethesda's E3 Presentation

Gamers have been watching the latest announcements from gaming companies as E3 is underway, and Bethesda had some interesting announcements. I’ll be honest that this year feels like a bit of a dud with Bethesda for me, but I know some people are excited for games like Doom Eternal. Here’s everything that was shown:

  • Ghostwire: Tokyo

    • People are disappearing in this new game from Bethesda. The trailer is incredibly trippy and does look pretty cool. This is probably the highlight for me.

  • Deathloop

    • This looks like Edge of Tomorrow the video game. You’ll play a character who is stuck in a time loop with the only escape presumably being to kill the other main character. This could be cool if done right.

  • Doom Eternal

    • We got a very bloody trailer for the story, but we didn’t get much else.

    • Releases on November 22

  • Fallout 76

    • On top of Bethesda acknowledging that the release of Fallout 76 was rough, they announced that a free update is coming this fall that will give the game human NPC characters complete with dialogue trees as well as a new quest. If you’re wanting to combine Fallout with a battle royale mode, don’t worry because that will also be a thing called Nuclear Winter. Furthermore, Fallout 76 is currently free to play until June 17 and includes a sneak peek at Nuclear Winter.

    • Update releases Fall 2019

  • Elder Scrolls: Blades

    • Based solely on the trailer, it looks like this is perfect if you want to play an Elder Scrolls game, but only the combat part of it. This game has been available on Android and iOS and is now coming to Nintendo Switch. It will feature cross-play and cross-progression and will be absolutely free to play. I just wish the trailer showed more than the combat.

  • Elder Scrolls Online

    • A new DLC called Scalebreaker is going to be released.

  • Elder Scrolls Legends

    • Moons of Elsweyr is the title of the next expansion.

    • Releases June 27

  • Elder Scrolls VI

    • We simply know that they’re working on this very anticipated game.

  • Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot

    • This upcoming VR game lets you be a hacker during the French Resistance.

    • Releases July 2019

  • Wolfenstein: Youngblood

    • You can play as B.J. Blazkowicz’s twin daughters in this co-op shooter.

    • Releases July 26

  • Commander Keen

    • I loved Commander Keen when I was a kid, but what the heck is this? The classic side scrolling platformer is now an item collection puzzle game, I think?

    • Releases on Android and iOS Summer 2019

  • Rage 2

    • A new expansion called Rise of the Ghosts is coming to give you new areas, rides, and guns.

    • Releases 2019
