Harrison Ford's Thaddeus Ross Will Be President of the United States in CAPTAIN AMERICA: NEW WORLD ORDER

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has revealed a pretty big detail about Harrison Ford’s MCU character Thaddeus Ross. He will make his big debut in Captain America: New World Order , and when he does, he will be the President of the United States! This perfectly explains why Ford was cast in the role! He has a solid history of playing these kinds of characters! While Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Feige was asked about New World Order and casting Ford, and this is what he said:

“We start filming relatively soon. I'm sure anyone you've ever talked with about Harrison Ford says this, but it's unbelievable that we get to meet and talk with him and that he's embracing this role. He's tireless with the amount of work that he does. This is certainly a big part for Thaddeus Ross. He's the president of the United States in the film. And with Harrison, you think about Air Force One, and you think about some of his confrontations with the president in Clear and Present Danger.”

He goes on to explain: “There's a dynamic between President Ross and Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie). They have a history together, but in this film, we'll be seeing the dynamic between Captain America and the president of the United States in a way that is just incredible.”

Well, that’s exciting to hear! Ford is also set to play Ross in the Thunderbolts movie, but we don’t know if he’s still going to be President when that movie comes around. In a previous interview, Ford was asked what motivated him to join the MCU at this point, and he explained:

"I don't know. I can't explain myself to myself, I just work here. (Laughs.) I thought, 'Everybody else seems to be having a great time.' I watch all these terrific actors having a good time [in Marvel movies]. I like doing something different to what I've ever done and pleasing people with it. So I'll try a piece of that."

Julius Onah is set to direct New World Order from a script penned by Dalan Musson and Malcolm Spellman, both of whom wrote for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Spellman will produce alongside Feige. The movie also stars Shira Haas, Tim Blake Nelson, and Carl Lumbly.

Are you excited to hear that Ford’s Ross is going to be President of the United States in the MCU?
