Halle Berry Reminds Us of That Time She Accepted Her "Worst Actress" Razzie Award For CATWOMAN: Relive Her Speech
Halle Berry took to social media earlier this week to share footage from her 2005 "Worst Actress" acceptance speech for her performance as Catwoman at the Golden Raspberry Awards.
It was so awesome of her to show up at the Razzie Awards to accept the award and her speech is absolute gold. Berry reposted the video with a shoutout to "my girls who loved Catwoman then and now."
In this version of Catwoman, Berry stars as Patience Phillips, a shy and sensitive graphic designer who works for a cosmetics company. After discovering a dark secret about a dangerous product, she is murdered but mysteriously revived by an Egyptian Mau cat. Endowed with feline powers and agility, Phillips assumes the identity of Catwoman to seek revenge against those who wronged her.
The movie was critically panned for its story, script, and acting. The movie struggled at the box office and garnered several Razzie Awards, including Worst Picture, solidifying its place as a notable misstep in superhero cinema.
