First Look at Christian Bale as Frankenstein’s Monster in Maggie Gyllenhaal's THE BRIDE!
Two images have been released for director Maggie Gyllenhaal's upcoming film The Bride!, which is inspired by the classic Universal Monster horror movie The Bride of Frankenstein.
One photo offers us our first look at Christian Bale as Frankenstein’s Monster. The other photo features Jessie Buckley as the titular Bride. They both look very interesting in these roles.
The film “sees a lonely Frankenstein travel to 1930s Chicago to seek the aide of a Dr. Euphronius in creating a companion for himself. The two reinvigorate a murdered young woman and the Bride is born.”
She is beyond what either of them intended, “igniting a combustible romance, the attention of the police and a wild and radical social movement.”
The Bride! also stars Penelope Cruz, Peter Sarsgaard, and Annette Bening (Nyad).
I’m curious about this movie and it’ll be interesting to see this new vision of a classic horror story, The Bride! is currently set to hit theaters on October 3, 2025.
