Exciting New Trailer for Season 3 of HBO's Fantasy Series HIS DARK MATERIALS
HBO has released the first trailer for the third season of His Dark Materials, and it looks like it’s going to be a thrilling and exciting final season!
We see James McAvoy back as Lord Asriel, who returns after pretty much being absent in Season 2. He's building an army that includes witches and rebel angels, to take down the Authority. This season is shaping up to be something epic.
Asriel says, "I am gathering the greatest from every world to help me wage war. They are but one arm of the beast. We cut off the head and the rest will crumble."
Based on The Amber Spyglass, the final novel in Philip Pullman's award-winning trilogy, “in the final chapter of this epic fantasy series, Lyra (Dafne Keen), the prophesied child, and Will (Amir Wilson), the bearer of The Subtle Knife, must journey to a dark place from which no one has ever returned. As her father's great war against the Authority edges closer, they will learn that saving the worlds comes at a terrible price.”
Other cast members include Simone Kirby as Mary Malone, Will Keen as Father President McPhail, Jade Anouka as Ruta Skadi, Ruta Gedminstas as Serafina Pekkala, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Commander Ogunwe, Jamie Ward as Father Gomez, Amber Fitzgerald-Woolfe as Ama, and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Simon Harrison, and Chipo Chung as the rebel angels Balthamos, Baruch, and Xaphania.
Jack Thorne, the head writer of the series has also created a new Angel character, named Alarbus, who will mainly interact with Asriel and "help contextualize what's going on in the kingdom of Heaven.”
His Dark Materials Season 3 will premiere with two back-to-back episodes on HBO on December 5th, 2022.
