Enjoy STAR TREK Day With Shout Factory TV's Documentary Marathon

September 8 is Star Trek Day in celebration of the original series premiere back in 1966. To celebrate, Shout Factory TV will be hosting a marathon of documentaries and docu-series all about the beloved franchise. Fans will be able to tune in on September 8 at 9 AM PT over at ShoutFactoryTV.com and enjoy a variety of programs directed by William Shatner, Ira Steven Behr, and David Zappone.

The Captains allows Shatner to interview the various Star Trek captains throughout the ages including Sir Patrick Stewart, Avery Brooks, Kate Mulgrew, Scott Bakula, and Chris Pine. Then, additional footage was turned into a docu-series called The Captains Close Up. Chaos on the Bridge tells the story of bringing The Next Generation to life. Meanwhile, Get a Life is where Shatner shares his love letter to the fans.

What We Left Behind: Looking Back at Star Trek: Deep Space Nine will provide fans with an in-depth look at the divisive entry in the franchise. There will be interviews with the cast and crew, remastered HD footage, and the original writers going over what Deep Space Nine would look like if it were the next entry in the franchise.
