Christopher Nolan Told a Little White Lie about SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE to Get His Way on BATMAN BEGINS

Over the weekend, Christopher Nolan joined fans for a marathon of his Dark Knight trilogy at the Universal Cinema AMC. In addition to watching the films, though, there was a Q&A with the man himself. During this time, it was revealed that Nolan fibbed a little to studio execs about a small detail.

You see, Nolan wanted to take his time to have Bruce Wayne don the cape and cowl we all know and love. However, studio execs weren’t so sure about this approach, but Nolan told them, “Well, Christopher Reeve didn’t put on the suit until 53 minutes in.” Nolan then told the audience at the event a little secret, “That statistic is not true by the way. It’s actually a little earlier.”

Aren’t we all glad that the execs weren’t so brushed up on their Superman films? Could you imagine if Bruce had become Batman 30 minutes into Batman Begins? I don’t think it would’ve been as great as it is.
