Christopher Nolan Praises Zack Snyder Saying He's Influenced Today's Superhero and Sci-Fi Movies
Christopher Nolan is praising director Zack Snyder again, this time for his influence on the superhero and sci-fi film genres. Nolan hand-picked Snyder to helm Man of Steel for DC, which is based on a story that Nolan came up with alongside the Dark Knight trilogy writer David S. Goyer.
Nolan is obviously very much still a fan of Snyder and his filmmaking work, and he has nothing but good things to say about him. Nolan must have had a very positive experience working with Snyder. During a recent interview with The Atlantic for a profile that spotlights Snyder, Nolan said:
“There’s no superhero science-fiction film coming out these days where I don’t see some influence of Zack. When you watch a Zack Snyder film, you see and feel his love for the potential of cinema. The potential of it to be fantastical, to be heightened in its reality, but to move you and to excite you.”
Not everyone likes what Snyder puts out, and even while I don’t like everything that he does, I do appreciate the fact that he is out there trying to do his own thing and pump out original content. Also, even if his stories are uneven, he always includes incredibly cool visual elements in his movies.
Snyder has mostly been working with Netflix recently, and while it’s cool that they give him creative freedom to make the films he wants, it sucks that those films aren’t released in theaters so that audiences can experience them on the big screen.
Snyder’s most recent film is Rebel One - Part One: A Child of Fire, which has been a huge hit for Netflix.
